MISSION STATEMENT
Legacy Living Ministries exists to exhort the next generation of females to engage in a passionate pursuit of God and to crave His Word by facilitating one-day conference events and providing quality resources to equip parents, ministry leaders, and female leaders in parenting, mentoring, and ministering to teenage girls.
PURPOSE
We believe that the next generation of young women is growing up in an age of biblical illiteracy. Many of them are not experiencing a vibrant and active relationship with Jesus Christ. Too many young girls today do not know God's Word, and in turn, are not walking in obedience to His Word. We firmly believe in the power of Scripture and are committed to teaching the next generation of young women how to apply God's Word to their lives.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Legacy Living's
Leadership Team
As a pastor's kid from Valparaiso, Indiana, Kim grew up with a love for the Lord, a love for His Church, and a love for inviting others along on her journey with Jesus Christ. In fact, her passion for the lost in her public high school caused her to join five other Christian students every day at 6:30 am to pray for revival in the lives of their classmates. Kim spent a semester of high school in Tokyo, Japan, where God gave her a love for cities, a heart for ministry, and a deep appreciation for culture. God used these three loves to bring Kim to study at Moody Bible Institute as a Print Media Major. She and her husband Sean now live on Chicago's Near West Side where they coach in a Little League for inner-city youth and share Christ's message of hope. Together, Kim and Sean are cultivating God's heart for the poor and marginalized. Kim enjoys discipling young women, writing about God's unfailing truth, opening her home, and running with her weimaraner, Reggie.
Her life verse is Micah 6:8, "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
Kim currently serves as our Ministry's General Editor and QA Director.
In 9th grade, Erin had a life defining conversation with the High School Associate from her youth group. It was through this conversation that Erin sensed God calling her to serve in youth ministry. Her desire to serve and minister to high school students led her to study Youth Ministry at Southwestern Bible College in Phoenix, AZ. The Lord continued to provide Erin with various opportunities to use her skills, passions, and gifts to pour into the local Body. After spending ten years serving in High School Ministry, she sensed the Lord calling her to take more time to pour into her husband, Jeremy and two sons, Isaac (5) and Ian (2). However, in the last few months the Lord has given her a desire to use her gifts and passions to pour into Legacy Living Ministries. She is thrilled to be a part of this exciting movement of the Lord. When she's not hanging with her man and two little boys, she would consider splitting her time between her love for reading, her love for movies, and her love for date night!
Her Life Verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Erin currently serves as our Ministry's Conference Coordinator.

Finding My Identity:
Making Christ My Highest Pursuit
Annie Ingram grew up in Santa Cruz, CA and learned early on that Christianity was not popular; but a life yielded to Christ would radically change her world. Being the daughter of internationally known speaker and author, Chip Ingram, Annie grew up with solid Biblical teaching and parents who modeled authentic spirituality. God also graciously placed key mentors in Annies life that challenged her to make her faith her own from the early age of ten.
Her life mission is to communicate Gods truth in a relevant way for lasting life change. God led Annie to study Communications at Moody Bible Institute. Annie is now pursuing further education at Southwestern Seminary in Silicon Valley, CA.
On a more personal note, Annie has a special place in her heart for girlsespecially for them to know and understand who they are in Christ. Her personal journey with identity, looks, fashion, and relationships has been an up and down journey. But when you renew your mind with Gods Word and claim whats true about you, she believes and says, it can make all the difference in your relationship with God, yourself and others. I dare you to really try it. In her spare time, Annie enjoys grabbing coffee with friends, getting a sweaty workout and singing her lungs out to music in her car.
Foundation of Ministry:
Diagnosing Biblical Anorexia
Joanne Jung is one of those women whose presence encourages you to take your walk with the Lord deeper. As you speak with Jung, you sense the intimacy she has with the Lord and in turn you want to know how she got what she has, so that you can have it to. Jung is passionate about our generation going back to the spiritual disciplines of the faith and learning how to practically and passionately pursue them genuinely and wholeheartedly.
Jung is currently Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Theology at Biola University. She is drawn towards hermeneutics and spiritual formation. Although this brilliant yet humble teacher is also a learner. Joanne has received an MA in Bible Exposition at Talbot School of Theology, and earned her PhD in Practical Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in 2007. Her love of learning makes her teaching all the more captivating.
As a mother of four kids and a wife for 32 years of marriage, it is clear that she has life experience. She is quick to take her experience and share it with those around her. Her care for peoples souls is evident. Her intentionality is a staple to her character, so it is such both a privilege and blessing to have Joanne bring the truth of Gods word to this ministry.
Fulfilling My Legacy:
Living Boldly For Christ in My High School
Stephanie Kaihoi was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. God called Stephanie to Himself during her parents separation. It was during those difficult junior high years that she found Jesus Christ to be the only thing constant in her life. After attending a Christian School for nine years, she felt the Lord leading her to make a difference for him in a public school. As a freshman in high school, she saw a need for a bible study and started one, leading it throughout her high school career. During high school, she spent most of her time mentoring and leading her peers into a deeper walk with Christ.
God led Stephanie to attend Moody Bible Institute, where she graduated in May of 2007 with a degree in Communication Studies. This passion for mentoring teenage girls, led her to write a six-week devotional study for high school girls titled Finishing With No Regrets, and later become Founder of Legacy Living Ministries and the Finishing With No Regrets Conference. She loves to be apart of ushering girls into a vibrant love relationship with Jesus Christ.
Stephanie is burdened for the students she encounters who come from broken homes. She is grateful for the way the Lord has redeemed her own life as He has filled her voids with Himself. She is devoted to teaching the next generation the hope that can only come through Jesus Christ living in you and through you. For the last three years, Stephanie has been able to experience the joy of what a godly and healthy marriage looks like. She is madly in love with her husband, Trevor, and is honored do life with her best friend. Stephanie and Trevor currently reside in Chicago, IL. Apart from having date nights with her husband, Stephanie also enjoys being creative and artsy, hosting Thursday nights for bible study at her house, and catching up with her mom or mentors from Minnesota.
Focus for Ministry:
Identifying & Addressing your Teens' Needs
Ginny Olson is co-director of the Center for Youth Ministry Studies at North Park University where she also teaches youth ministry to undergraduate and seminary students. The Center is a partnership of North Park University, North Park Theological Seminary, and the Evangelical Covenant Church and helps develop youth workers both locally and globally. Previous to her time at North Park, Ginny served in churches in Illinois and Minnesota.
Olsons book, Teenage Girls: Exploring Issues Adolescent Girls Face and Strategies to Help Them, has been received as a welcome addition since its publication in 2006. Olson addresses challenges and opportunities for teenage girls and how youth workers can help them address life issues. Many girls with whom Olson has talked feel isolated and depressed. They seem like they have all these social networks going on. Olson says. Theyre not necessarily socially lonely, but theyre emotionally lonely.
We are honored to have Olson come and help train female youth workers how to both understand and help their female students come to a healthier and more spiritually engaging place. Olsons training will be both practical and refreshing to those who are currently sifting through the deep waters of understanding and engaging the current needs of their students.
Filling My Voids:
Healing & Freedom Found in Christ Alone
Cheree Hayes recommitted her life to Jesus as a young high-school student and was filled with a new passion to live for Him from the inside-out. A year later, she founded a ministry called VOLUME to encourage her Christian peers to live their faith out loud and shine bright as a light to a lost generation. She served for three years coordinating these events in Yakima, WA.
A year after high-school graduation she moved to Portland, Oregon too enroll at Multnomah Bible College to become further equipped for future ministry. However, during her first month of education, suddenly Cheree was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Treatment covered 8 months of chemotherapy, 7 weeks of radiation, and an agonizing summer undergoing a bone-marrow transplant. The year of treatment was filled with pain but overwhelmed moreover by the peace and providence of her redeeming God. She celebrates her fourth year of remission now with a deeper understanding of Gods faithfulness to provide strength in our weakness.
In this new season Cheree, now 24 years old, remains in Portland with loving her wonderful husband, DArcy, and her little baby girl, Miracle DeCelie Denise. When shes not homemaking, teaching or singing she enjoys spending time with girlfriends and extended family, dancing, listening to and other little things that bring happiness. But most importantly, Cheree is passionate about her Redeemer, Jesus. Through Him she finds all of her hope, value, identity and strength. Without Him, she quickly admits that her tasks, titles and accomplishments are at best, entirely meaningless. Jesus deserves all the glory.
Faithfulness in Ministry:
Committing to Persevere for a Divine Cause
Michele Montenegro is native to Indiana and has loved training youth leaders in Costa Rica for the past 12 years. She does life & ministry with her husband, Lisandro, and baby, Judah. All week long she invests in young women by studying Jesus' ministry chronologically and following His strategy to change the world. Her joy is in being and making true disciples; in fact, a bad day doing that is better than a good day doing anything else!
She is thrilled to be sharing with the female leaders at the Finishing With No Regrets Conference in Minnesota. Michele has seen how the impact of one faithful mentor can produce a multiplying movement of girls who love the Lord and crave His Word. Jesus invited women to participate in His ministry 2,000 years ago...and He's counting on the same today!
Michele has many life verses :) However, her #1 is 1 John 2:6, "Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did!" This verse radically changed her life when she was 14! We are thrilled to welcome Michele from Costa Rica as she will teach us how to faithfully disciple young women for Jesus Christ!
